अॅमेझॉन इंडियातर्फे लवकरच ग्रेट इंडियन सेलचे आयोजन केले जाणार असून, त्या काळातील विक्रीचा ओघ लक्षात घेता कंपनी सुमारे साडेसात हजार तात्पुरत्या स्वरूपाच्या नोकऱ्या निर्माण करणार आहे. अॅमेझॉनवर खरेदी करण्यात आलेल्या वस्तू ग्राहकांपर्यंत वेळेत व सुरळीत पोहोचाव्यात म्हणून यातील बहुतांश नोकऱ्या लॉजिस्टिक्स विभागातील असणार आहेत. नव्या नोकऱ्या देशभरातील २७ फुलफिलमेंट सेंटर्स, अंदाजे १०० डिलेव्हरी स्टेशन व १५ सॉर्ट सेंटर्स येथे निर्माण केल्या जाणार आहेत. त्यासाठीची नियुक्तीप्रक्रिया सुरू झाली असून प्रशिक्षणही दिले जाणार आहे. कंपनीने उभारलेल्या पायाभूत सुविधांमुळे हजारो विक्रेत्यांना लक्षावधी ग्राहकांपर्यंत पोहोचणे सोपे होणार असल्याचे अॅमेझॉन इंडियाचे उपाध्यक्ष (इंडिया कस्टमर फुलफिलमेंट) अखिल सक्सेना यांनी सांगितले आहे. source

Amazon India has launched its first private label fashion brand in the country called Symbol, reports The Mint . The brand has been launch by Cloudtail India, Amazon’s largest seller, in anticipation of the upcoming festive season. As of now, Amazon lists a Symbol store with shirts, t-shirts, bottoms, innerwear and accessories. The website also lists nightwear as coming soon. The store currently has over 200 listed items like socks, handkerchiefs, trousers, boxers etc. Note that from a cursory glance all the clothing appears to be for men. The company had said then that it would expand to include other categories in the coming months. As of now, the platform is selling lightning cables, data cables, audio video cables and various
