कॉटनचे रेडिमेड कपडे खादीचं लेबल लावून विकत असल्याप्रकरणी 'फॅब इंडिया' कंपनी कायद्याच्या कचाट्यात सापडली आहे. खादीच्या नावाखाली ग्राहकांची फसवणूक केल्याचा ठपका ठेवून खादी आणि ग्रामोद्योग आयोगानं 'फॅब इंडिया'ला नोटीस पाठवली आहे. त्याला १५ दिवसात समर्पक उत्तर न दिल्यास त्यांच्यावर कारवाईचा इशाराही देण्यात आला आहे. खादीचे उत्तम कपडे मिळण्याचं ठिकाण म्हणून फॅब इंडिया स्टोअर ओळखलं जातं. तिथले स्वदेशी आणि त्यातही खादीचे कपडे घेताना ग्राहक किंमतीचाही विचार करत नाहीत. परंतु, फॅब इंडियात मिळणारे खादीचे कपडे हे खरंच खादीचे असतात का, याबद्दल आता संशय निर्माण झाला आहे. कारण, फॅब स्टोअर्समध्ये मिळणाऱ्या कपड्यांवर 'फॅब इंडिया कॉटन' असा टॅग असल्याचं खादी ग्रामोद्योग आयोगाच्या निदर्शनास आलं आहे. त्याची गंभीर दखल घेऊन आयोगानं कंपनीचे सीईओ विनय सिंह यांना कारणे दाखवा नोटीस पाठवली आहे. कपड्यांवरच्या प्राइस टॅगवर फॅब इंडियानं खादी असा शब्द छापला आहे. हा टॅग कधीही काढून टाकता येतो. त्यातूनच कंपनी खादीचे कपडे विकत नसल्याचं स्पष्ट होतं, असं खादी ग्रामोद्योग आयोगानं ...

The C K Birla group firm has inked an agreement with Peugeot SA to this effect. CHANDIGARH: Keen on making Haryana a global hub of textile manufacturing and a preferred investment destination , the state government has crafted a new textile policy to incentivize setting up of new units and ensure growth and modernization of the existing textile industry in the state. The policy is packed with fiscal incentives and contains provisions for infrastructure augmentation, setting up of textile parks and facilities for skill training. It aims at generating 50,000 new jobs by attracting investment in the textile sector to the tune of Rs 5,000 crore. An official spokesman said the draft policy had been put in public domain and suggestions invited from stakeholders up to February 28, 2017, which would be factored in while giving it a final shape.
